AMBER J. IVEY received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wake Forest University in 2010 and she received her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2013 from the University of South Carolina. During law school, Ms. Ivey served as a peer mentor, Women in Law member, and Research Editor for the ABA Real Property, Trust & Estates Law Journal.
She was also a participant in the Civil Litigation Capstone course. Outside the classroom, Ms. Ivey clerked with a boutique law firm and the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission. Upon graduating law school, Ms. Ivey worked with a litigation firm in Columbia, South Carolina. She gained valuable experience in insurance defense, premises and product liability matters. Ms. Ivey joined Smith & Carr, P.C. in 2015 and maintains a full docket in Workers’ Compensation matters and general insurance matters. Ms. Ivey is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and the State of South Carolina.
